Let's go back to the Middle Ages!

Overlooking the Alsace plain, the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle is the most famous fortress and one of Alsace's most visited monuments. Emperor Wilhelm II restored this fortress, burned in 1623, to symbolize German grandeur. After World War I, the castle became a French national property.
